Dr. Michael Sutton is originally from Allentown, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering and a minor in environmental engineering. He worked for three years in the engineering field before deciding to pursue a career in dentistry.
Dr. Sutton received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Temple University in Philadelphia. During this time, he was granted acceptance into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and earned several prestigious academic awards. After suffering from too many cold winters, he decided to further his career and head south to the University of Florida orthodontic program. He earned an orthodontic certificate and master’s degree in dental science from UF.
Dr. Sutton is actively involved in continuing education with several professional organizations. He is a past president of the Sarasota County Dental Association, and involved with local study clubs.
As a father, Dr. Sutton understands how to communicate with patients of all ages and help them feel at ease. He is highly respected within the community, not only for creating beautiful smiles, but also for his generosity and support of local organizations.
In his spare time, Dr. Sutton enjoys boating, fishing, and traveling with his wife Anna and daughter Brielle. He is happy to call Sarasota County home and looks forward to meeting you and your family soon!
