Office Policies

Appointment Policy Our team works hard to develop an appointment schedule that is fair to each patient and satisfies requirements set by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We reserve short appointments, such as progress and appliance checks during (“prime-time”) hours (9 am-10 am) and (3 pm-5 pm); before and after school/work times. This enables us to accommodate families during this time. We reserve longer and repair appointments during the hours of 10 am and 2 pm. Appointments are scheduled according to each patient's needs. We see most patients every four to ten weeks, which means you’ll only visit our office two to three times per year during school hours. For your convenience, we will be glad to work around meetings, classes, sporting events, etc. In the event of an emergency, please contact us so that we can schedule an appointment. Please do not come directly by the office. We may be at lunch, in a team meeting or out of the office, and therefore unable to see you. Examples of emergencies include a loose band or bracket or discomfort caused by a wire. As a courtesy, we do call to remind you of your appointment, and we also have e-mail reminders. Please note if there is a power outage, or computer failure, you may not receive a call. That’s why we encourage you to keep up with your appointment card. Should you miss your scheduled appointment, we will notify you that you need to reschedule. Please keep in mind that if you cancel or miss an appointment during “prime time” hours, we may be unable to reschedule you at the same time of the previous appointment. We create our schedule to be fair to each patient. Thank you for working with our office coordinators. We look forward to getting to know you and creating a beautiful smile! |
